Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano put on another dramatic display, sending lava and smoke high into the air as molten rock spilled from its openings. The US Geological Survey reported that this marked Kilauea’s 41st eruptive episode. At its most intense, lava fountains soared nearly 480m above the crater.
